Marrakech is a walled medieval city in the heart of Morocco that dates back to the Berber Empire. An explosion of sounds, sights, and smells, the maze-like alleys are home to thriving souks ancient mosques and lush riads. The surrounding Atlas mountains and Agafey desert add to the riotous wonder of Morocco. It is truly a place like no other in the world.

Our home for the week is a destination itself. Nestled at the base of the Atlas mountains 50 minutes outside of the city center, our retreat center is a tranquil oasis. With traditional Moroccan design and building techniques, rooms and spaces are a welcoming and lush delight for the eyes. Outside lounge spaces along with pool and firepit offer a place to contemplate the natural surroundings. Also onsite is a traditional hammam (spa) an ancient cleansing ritual of bath, body wrap, scrub and oils. All of the meals are prepared with love and care, using local produce as well as from the hotel’s vegetable garden. They offer Moroccan, Berber and Middle Eastern cuisine that can cater to any food constraint including vegan, gluten, or lactose free.

Yoga will take place in a beautiful space on site. The studio is fully stocked with mats and props. Morning practice will be slow-flow, strong and deep, intuitive and intelligent. Evening classes will be focused on soothing the nervous system with restorative yoga and guided deep relaxation. You can read more about my teaching here.

We’ll weave a tapestry of experience that will leave you changed. Included in this retreat are three excursions:
-A camel ride in the Agafey desert.
-Guided hike in the Atlas mountains.
-Marrakech city center experience.
